Another dawn shot from Rosemarkie in Scotland. This time in black and white.

	<title>spirals and rust</title>

Taken in Pembrokeshire, awaiting the ferry out to Skomer Island. This was one of two old rusted winches for dragging the boats onto the beach. I liked the contrast of manmade and natural, the spirals and the circles.

The last of my images from the day trip with David (www.escapephoto.com), this time from the back streets of Peoria. I loved the colours and stains on the metal, providing ideal material for abstract work.

Another image taken on the excursion with David (www.escapephoto.com); on of a number of small graveyards that dot the Illinois landscape.

Taken at a silo in the midst of the Illinois landscape, with massively sub-zero winds and temperatures. The place proved to be a great opportunity for playing with images and making abstracts.

Deep in the flat landscape of Illinois, this charismatic barn and the windfarm that surrounded it made excellent subjects. Thanks to David of www.escapesphoto.com for showing me around that day - was truly awesome (and cold!).

A view from the Planetarium, looking back at the Chicago cityscape, deep in the throws of winter. As can be seen, the bay was incredibly still and serene.
