About adaptable eye

I have been a photographer for 6 or 7 years now, although I didn't start taking it seriously until about 3 years ago. I'm not sure what catalysed the transformation from the occasional or trip-focussed photographer towards one who began to see opportunities in every vista and every detail. Whatever the reason, it has been an interesting journey to this stage and continues to challenge, taking me beyond my comfort zone on many an occasion.

I have been admiring the works of several photobloggers and this has inspired me to push my boundaries by both showcasing what I have already done and by pursuing a looser more active style of photography. This will range from street or candid photography through to an exploration of the urban landscape, whilst still keeping in touch with my love of portraiture, abstract and landscapes. At the end of the day this is, however, a learning tool and experience for me and one I aim to get the most from.

The adaptable eye is so-named as a reminder that eye can and should be adaptable; to trends, fashions and influences, as well as subject matter. It is an opportunity for me show what I can do, and to learn from what works and what doesn't. And it is nice to know that moments in time and views of the world that might otherwise have been missed by other people are available to see. I hope you like them.
